Nutcracker Sweet Assemblage Clock~Reneabouquets Etsy Shop

Every once in a while I like to create a piece, just because I want to, and that is the case with this Nutcracker Sweet Assemblage Clock. I love creating miniatures of all kinds. I grew up creating them with my Grandpa and just can't get enough of items that allow me to add little treasures!!

I actually created this piece specifically to go into my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop for the Holiday Season.
I did lots of technique work on this pieces, crackle painting, texture painting, hand tinted glitter glass, seed beads, glittering, wire, fussy cutting, and glazing, all to create a magical treasure so perfect for Christmas.

I started with a Tim Holtz Assemblage Clock that I did a 3 coat crackle process on, then I texture painted it randomly adding hand tinted Glitter Glass and seed beads for lots of shine and amazing surface variation.

On the top I added Prima Resin pieces with Prima pearl accents, glittered up Scrapmatts chipboard snowflakes with Crystal centers. Rhinestone and pearl pieces and wrapped wire pieces. I fussy cut the Sugar Plum Fairy, and curtains with bows from the papers and the topped a sticker with a Prima piece. All the paper pieces on the whole piece, were accented with Diamond Stickles and then glazed with Judikins Diamond Glaze for amazing shine and durability.

The back side of the clock was covered with G45 Nutcracker paper and then I layered in twinkle fluff (that is so shiny the camera caught it and made it look like fire). The Nutcracker clock and Clara were layered in for dimension.

I took a G45 Nutcracker sticker and placed it in a Prima Resin Frame with a Prima pearl accent, and then diamond glazed over the sticker so that it looks like glass in real life, and attached it to the assemblage piece.

Here you can see that yummy crackle finish with the texture paint, german glitter glass and seed beads.

And this is the back of the clock.
All sides were finished out, for a piece that is view-able from all sides.

Thank you for indulging my off the page side, I really love doing this kind of work and I am so grateful that my scrappy friends support in all of my indulgences. Hope you get a chance to create something magical of your own this week!  Hugs, ~Renea
