Vintage Sweetness~Scraps Of Elegance June Kit~Timeless

Welcome to the weekend!! I have layout that I created using the Scraps Of Elegance June Kit~Timeless and a sweet little Vintage image that I found on Pinterest and then did some cleaning up and Sepia color work on. I have added the image here in my blog to share with you, and hope you enjoy creating with it~

I created lots of distressed, inked and water distressed layers that I also did some stamping on.

I took some metal bobbins and added a patina finish with some alchohol inks, and then ran hand dyed seam binding around them and down the page.

The flowers were from the kit and past kits. I used some stash lace and tucked pieces of it and some cheesecloth behind the layers.

Here you can see some close ups of the stamping, bobbins, and seam binding. The Rhinestone Button  and the Tiny Treasures Breathless Butterflies are available in my or Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

Here you can see all the lace and flower layers, and I tucked in a sweet little Vintage Look Metal Scissor  that you can find in either of my shops in the Trinkets & Trims section.

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and hopefully find some time to create something beautiful for yourself~  Hugs~Renea

Farewell Post For Inkido~June Mood Board Project

Today, I have my last Inkido project.   I would like to say thank you to Agnieszka Bellaidea for all her hard work and for having me on the team. And thank you to all the talented ladies on the Design Team who have inspired and encouraged me along the way.
My project was created for the mood board featuring a gorgeous book theme:
I created an altered hard back book cover that features a back side with a pocket that houses a large book mark using Inkido Papers and Flowers.

I started with an old hard back book that I had gotten at a yard sale. I loved the cover because it had soft greens and creams and the binding had "Feathers From My Nest" the title on it, and with my love of birds and feathers, I knew it would make a wonderful alter. I cut the cover from the book and then cut it in half and inked it's edges.

The large trim is from my Tresors De Luxe Stash, and the Oh So Pinkalicious Butterflies can be found in my Shop or in my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

I then layered in a layer of distressed and inked Inkido music not paper, and then tore out pages from the book with the same wording and inked it up and layered it on, then added a beautiful Vintage art photo.

Here you can see were I tucked in some scrap pieces of trim and added a little bird's nest and some Inkido Mulberry paper flowers and Ivy Leaf.

Here at the bottom, I added the piece of book binding with the title on it, tucked in some trim scraps and added some stash feathers, and rose, then came some more Inkido Flowers and Ivy Leaf.

The metal piece you see are old watch parts that I found in my catch all drawer, and I used them to look like hinges.

On the backside I created more layers of Inkido, distressed and inked paper, and more torn pages of the book. I then created a pocket from some Inkido paper, and layered more trim on top with a metal button accent and some more Inkido paper flowers and Ivy Leaf.

I cut out a large, tag shaped bok mark from some more Inkido paper, layered on some more torn pages, then hand stamped a sweet birds on a branch image onto a die cut. I added some stash Vintage trim and created a hand dyed seam binding strip to help mark your place in the book you are reading.

I just love how Shabby romantic this set came out!! It would make a wonderful gift for an avid book reader like myself~

Thank you to everyone who has followed my work with the gorgeous Inkido Products! Hugs ~Renea

Have you heard? My Shop just opened and is now taking orders for both United States and International Orders!! As many of you know I have a son Draven who just graduated from High School and will be heading off to college in the Fall. My dream has been to grow my shop and now that I have him ready to head off into the world, to take my shop full time. I have spent the last year really developing my skills as a digital artist, so that I can bring my customers completely original and unique designs like these:

Mosaic Tile Butterfllies

Shabby Pink Roses Butterflies

Summer Set In Purple Butterflies

Precious Keepsakes Butterflies

Summer Set Butterflies In Pink

Summer Set Dragonflies In Pink

All of these creations were dreamed up inside my head, drawn digitally from scratch, and then colorized  and gussied up in my own "beautiful with an edge" style to bring you a product you won't find anywhere else.

I have also added some prepackaged items. All items that I myself use on my own projects and are tried and tested to be quality products. Here are few you can now find in my shop:

I have also added some gorgeous Rhinestone trinkets and will be adding more in July, along with some of my FAVorite things like crochet cotton lace, and metal Vintage look keys.

I am so grateful to all my customers, scrappy friends, and family who have supported my dream to bring my Reneabouquets Shop to life, and hope that not only will those who have supported me this past year will keep returning, but that those of you who have not checked it out will check out my hand crafted butterflies, dragonflies and all the Trinkets & Treasures I will have available.

You can find my Shop Here:

And also on Etsy:

Hugs to all of you! ~Renea

Doing Some Time Traveling With The Scraps Of Elegance June Kit~

I am just in love with the June Scraps Of Elegance Kit-Timeless!! With all those Vintage look papers, I just could not resist scrapping this sweet Vintage image that I had purchased from Etsy Shop Ireland Rose's Nostalgia a while back.

I layered in lots of layers of paper that I distressed, inked, fussy cut, splatter painted and stenciled with the Teresa Collins stencil from the kit.

At the top of the photo, I layered in hand crafted vines, flowers from the kit and Floral Add On as well as a wooden clock and more flowers from past kits.

I went flower crazy all around the page!!

The Tiny Treasures Salted Caramel Glitter Glass Butterflies can be found in my new Shop or in my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

I added a Crochet Doily from a past kit, a key from the Etsy Shop-Ingredients For Lovely that I tied a piece of the brown twine from the kit to then added a little pearl to.  I then added, yes, more hand crafted vine pieces and more flowers.

I did some tear downs on the paper edges, tucked in some pieces of crochet lace and "held" the tears down with some of the tissue tape from this month's Embellishment Add On.

Here you can see all the dimension that all the layering gives to my layout.

TGIF!! And I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Now, go play in your scrap room!!! Hugs ~Renea

Creating A Little Bliss With The Scraps Of Darkness May Kit~Twisted & Tangled

Today, I have an oversized tag to share with you that I created with the Scraps Of Darkness May Kit~Twisted & Tangled. I just loved all the lavender and purple hues in the kit~so perfect for going a little Shabby-a little Edgy with!

I did lot of distressing, inking and layering. As well as, stenciling, misting, and cheesecloth work.

The papers, mulberry flower, cheesecloth, and "Bliss" tag were from the kit.

The silver flower and purple flowers were from this Month's Floral Add On. I stippled the little eggs in the nest with the Shimmerz that was in the kit.

The Summer Set Butterflies in Purple that you see were a unique and original product that I designed, drew, colored and then painted and put together in a double layer design for my and Reneabouquets Etsy Shop

Here you can see some of the stenciling that I did with gel medium and the colors I got with the misting and inking underneath the netting from a past kit.

And here you see the back side that I finished out in layers of inked and distressed paper for a finished look.

I know that Summer makes it harder to find the time to create, but I hope that you do find some time to steal away to your scrappy space and to create something beautiful of your own. Hugs ~Renea

Scraps Of Elegance June Kit~Timeless-Design Team Reveal

Today is the official reveal day for the Scraps Of Elegance June Kit~Timeless!!
This kit is a stunner! I have really loved working with it, and can't wait to use it some more.

Below is this month's sketch created by our very own, very talented Sue Pup:

And here is my take on it, using a sweet Vintage photo that I tweaked, then distressed and inked:

There is lots of paper layering and fussy cutting, along with lots of edge distressing and inking.

The papers, some of the flowers, brown trim, brown leaf trim and butterflies are from the kit.

The Doilie and resin frame are from the Embellishment Add On.

Here you can see where I cut out some of the paper and framed it with the resin frame that I painted then added Inka Gold to.

Lots of layering in of flowers and trim, as well as a sweet little bird that I fussy cut out from the kit's Ephemera sheet then inked and accented with bling.

You can find the Autumn Rose Butterflies in my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

More flower layering and lace.

Next, I have one of those hand sewn memory pockets that I create from upcycled manilla file folders. I am an accountant and bookkeeper so I always have a ton of those that have been emptied and need a new purpose, and this one is perfect, and gives one a way to tuck in lots of  photos and journaling.

The front has lots of paper layers that have been inked, distressed and punched, as well as pieces that were fussy cut out, like the pocket watch that is attached with velcro and can be removed to place a small photo or journal on to the back side of.

A Back Side View

The system with all the tags and journal spots untucked. There are 7 double sided spots in all.

And last, but not least, I have an oversized Friendship Tag & ATC set that I created to send to my SOD/SOE ATC swap partner, Phyllis Fernandez.
I host a bi-monthly swap on our Scraps Of Darkness/Scraps Of Elegance Community Face Book Page and I would love to have you come join us! You don't have to be a kit subscriber to play along and it is a lot of fun!!

I used lots of layering, inking, distressing, misted cheesecloth, feathers, tulle, hand dyed seam binding and some little crystals that were in the kit to create lots of dimenstion and texture.
The Tiny Treasure Breathless Butterflies are from my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

The backside has a hand dyed seam binding tie system that allows for the ATC to be tied onto the Tag.

You just untie the seam binding and Phyllis can remove the matching ATC. I hope she loves it as much as I loved creating it!!

And there you have it my reveal work with the Scraps Of Elegance June Kit~Timeless!! I hope you have enjoyed your visit and maybe found a little inspiration along the way!! Have a great weekend! Hugs~Renea
