Going Vintage With The Scraps Of Darkness March Kit~Michelle's Mechanical Madness

TGIF everybody!!! As we head into the weekend, I have a Vintage look Pocket Journal that I would like to share with you that I created with the Scraps Of Darkness March Kit~Michelle's Mechanical Madness. I just loved those blues and browns and some of the Vintage look pieces in the papers and kit were perfect for putting together this sewn file folder pocket system that houses 7 double sided tags that can house journaling or small photos.

The pocket album was created from cut down, up-cycled manilla file folders that I sewed together to form a pocket system. I layered on distressed and Vintage Photo Inked layers of the Kit Papers. I added stash ribbon at the bottom.

I fussy cut out the Vintage Lady,  as well as the "Life Is Better With Friends" piece  from the kit papers. I added on flowers from this months floral add on and a past kit flower, then hand stamped some leaves and fussy cut those out.

I added one of the metal pieces from the kit to the side and topped it with one of the jeweled pieces from the kit. I then added on a large metal flower piece from the kit, more flowers from the floral add on and my stash, more of the hand stamped leaves and a burlap fray bow, and then created all my tuck in tags from fussy cut and punched paper pieces from the kit.

Here you can see the finished out back side of my pocket journal.

And here you can see all the matching, double sided, tuck ins, with hand dyed seam binding bows, as well as jeweled pieces, and a Prima Metal Trinket Alpha piece from the kit that were used as accents.

I hope you have a FABulous weekend!! Hugs ~Renea
