Embellishment Boxes Make Beautiful Christmas Gifts!

Need a Beautiful Gift for the crafter on your Christmas List? How about an Embellishment Box? These are really popular this year and so much fun to put together, like this one that I created with products from Reneabouquets

The Box is a Nook Book Box that I coated with Dina Wakley Gesso and then got to decorating. I used papers from the Blue Fern Studios Vintage Christmas 2 Paper Collection, stenciling it with a  Tim Holtz Doily Stencil, and Ranger Texture Paste

then edging the top layer out with Ranger Texture Paste, and then coating the paste with Diamond Chunky Glitter Glass to get a snowy look.

I ran Gold Locket Lace down the front side of the box and then overhanging it onto the spine of the book. I took a Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Small Ornate Clock and a set of

sponge painted them with Dina Wakley Gesso, and then sprinkled them with Gold Microbeads and topped the platforms that were designed for Beautiful Beads Candy with the Beautiful Beads Peppermint Candy Flat Back Pearls, so YUMMY!!

I fussy cut the little boy and girl from the BF papers and gave them little snowballs created out of  Ranger Texture Paste, and Diamond Chunky Glitter Glass.

I created a flower cluster using the following flower sets:
Red Mulberry Paper Poinsettia & Mini Roses Set
Pink & White Roses & Gardenias Set

Where I had overlapped the Gold Locket Lace onto the spine, I then ran Beautiful Butterfly Lace
over the top of it for a wonderful dimensional look.

For the sides of the box, I painted them with Ranger Opaque Crackle Paste, let that air dry, then inked it with gold ink to bring out the crackle, then topped the sides with  Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Small Holly Flourishes that I heat embossed in layers of color.

I really loved how these turned out!! They gave the box a high end, Vintage look!

I decorated the insides of the box so that even once the embellishments have been used up, you still have a beautiful piece to use to store treasures in.

I filled my box with the following Embellishments:

The back of the box is finished out in matching paper, and ties closed with lace.
I hope you are taking the time to really enjoy the Holidays, and that you find the time to create some special gifts for your family and friends. Thanks so much for dropping by!! Hugs ~Renea
