Creating Good Memories With The Scraps Of Elegance December Kit~Ever True

This month's Scraps Of Elegance Kit~Ever-True has the Prima Cigar Box Secrets line and the Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs line mixed in with lots more yumminess to create an amazingly beautiful kit that is both versatile and totally FAB!!

One of my sweet Reneabouquets Customers, DeLoris Scherschligt, wanted me to create a custom layout for her that featured a photo of her Mother with all the Grandkids for Christmas. She was like, "I am so sorry, but the photo has so much orange in it!". My response was, no problem, I actually love to scrap those earthy tones and I am sure I can come up with something that will compliment all that orange. So the following layout is what I came up with to keep with the colors and feel of the natural photo, and yet pull those "oranges" off. 

I did lots of layering, misting, seed bead work, staining, crackle painting, rubbin, distressing, stenciling and layering on layers of the Kit papers and corrugated board.

Here you can see all the floral layering and textures. All of the flowers except one were from the kit, and Floral Add. 

I added in a Tim Holtz Ornate Book Plate, stenciled with a Tim Holtz Burlap Stencil  and Ranger Texture Paste and then misted the stenciling with Distress Stain in Rusty Hinge, and added some Reneabouquets Gold Microbeads to some of my edges. 

Here you can see where I painted with Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy Crackle, and then rubbed it with Inka Gold from a past kit. I then layered some of the Stickers from the Embellishment add on, and a Reneabouquets Memory Keeper Trinket Pocket Watch. The Memory Box Butterflies are my Reneabouquets Handcrafted butterflies and were created, and are included in this month's Kit.

I don't know about you, but as Christmas creeps closer and closer, I can barely find the time to scrap, but I can not wait to get to play with this kit some more!!
