Scraps Of Darkness Reveals The May Kit~Twisted & Tangled!

I love this time of the month!! The 25th of each month, the Scraps Of Darkness Kits reveal, and the May Kit~Twisted & Tangled has just hit the scene!!

The following is the super Yummy sketch created by our super talented sketch artist~Suepup:

And this is my take on the sketch, featuring a photo of my son that I took last Summer at one of our FAV places to go hiking, Greenway Farms. We love to grab our little dog Jack and head out for a day of hiking through the gorgeous trails, and down into the rock quarry.

I layered in lots of paper layers that I distress, inked, tore, water distressed, stamped and splatter painted.

I did some lacing with black yarn, puff embossed some stash chain link chipboard, and layered in wire circles and some of the Prima Metal pieces from the kit.

At the top you can see a close up of the wire circles, and metal tags.
The Grunged Up Gears in the Heavy Metal Finish are from my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

Here you can see a close up off all the texture created from the stamping, splatter painting, and puff embossing.

And here you can see all the dimension the layering created.

And here is a layout that features a photo of our friend's daughter Maddie. I just love to go girlie grunge and the elements in this kit were perfect for it!

I did lots of layering, inking distressing, stenciling with mists, and stippling.

I did some subtle stenciling with the stencil from the kit and some Lindy's Mist, then I stippled randomly with the Shimmerz in the kit and added the super cool mosaic squares that were in the kit as well.

I painted the "Dreams & Wishes" chipboard from the kit, then stippled it with the Shimmerz from the kit and added some stash bling then layered it onto the cheesecloth that came with the kit as well. The silver and small purple flowers were from the Floral Add On, and the Lavender Ice Butterflies are from my Reneabouquets Etsy Shop.

I used some more of the kit cheesecloth then layered on some stash flowers and one from the floral add on.

Here you can see the dimension and textures on this layout. That is one thing I love about the Scraps Of Darkness Kits is all the elements that come together so beautifully to pull of lots of texture and dimension!!

Thanks for the visit and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and that you find the time to create something beautiful for yourself! Hugs ~Renea
