Prima Mixed Media Oversized Tag & Pocket Tag Set~

Today, I have my last project using the Scraps Of Elegance October Kit~Tiffany's Style to share with you. The new November Kit~ Tracey's Country Kitchen is now available in the store and it is a Country Chic beauty:

I created 2 oversized Mixed Media Tags, one is a Pocket Tag and the other has a journal spot on the back side.

First up I have the Pocket Tag. It is a large 4 1/4 x 9 1/4 Inch sized tag, that I started with a layer of the kit paper that I stenciled using a Tim Holtz Speckle Stencil, and Ranger Texture Paste. I then took a piece of canvas, frayed the edges and misted it with Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers Spray Stain and
Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves Spray Stain .  I added one of the Prima tags from the Embellishment Add On that I distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves Distress Ink, topped it with some hemp rope and added Prima crystal from a precious kit.
Next came some Crochet Lace , and a Prima Oval Frame Resin that I filled with some beads that were gifted to me from my scrappy friend Phyllis Fernandez. I took a real seashell and added that to the corner, and the Tiny Treasures Sweetheart Teal Butterflies are from my Reneabouquets.com and the Reneabouquets Etsy shops.

Next I added flowers from the kit and Floral Add On and more hemp rope.

At the top I added a little Prima Crab Resin. I created corner details and texture using the glitter from the kit, Reneabouquets Chunky Teal Glitter Glass , and Reneabouquets Silver Microbeads along with more of those gifted beads.

On the backside I formed a pocket and topped it with more crochet lace, and kit flower, then took some of the journaling cards from the Kit, distressed the edges and tucked them into the pocket.

Here are the journaling cards untucked.

The 2nd Tag is an oversized 4 1/4 x 8 3/4 Inches. The first layer is distressed and inked kit paper and I topped it with another canvas panel that I stenciled and misted with Prima Soft Teal Color Bloom. I heated the edges on my canvas with my heat gun and actually burned them in spots to get that yummy aged look!!
The tag is one of the Prima Tags from the Embellishment Add On that I distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, topping it with some rope and Prima crystal.
I then added more of the crochet lace.

I added  a Prima Oval Frame Resin and filled it with more of the gifted beads, topped it with a Prima Seahorse Resin that I colored.

I added some Floral Add On Flowers,  and more rope.

I added a real seashell, and then created puddles with Reneabouquets Chunky Lime Green Glitter Glass and more beads.

Here is the backside of the tag that I added a journal spot to from a past SOD kit.

Thank you for stopping by to see my last project with the October Kit! My November Kit should be here soon and I can't wait to play with it!! Until then, Hugs ~Renea

Hi Renea,
These great tags are total gorgeousness!! I like the soft colors and shabby style~
You have given me a new 'lift' idea to fill those sweet little frames with beautiful pearls and beads!! Thanks for sharing ; )
and I like how you've left room in the back for sm tags to journal with.
Great mix of media as always - textures and colors to delight!
Have a great wk-end!

Oh my gosh, your tags are gorgeous! I love each detail - especially, the little frames with the pearls - what an awesome idea - it looks so pretty. I love that you finished the back of your tags. I usually finish the backside with just a piece of paper - but I love the finished look. Your work is always so lovely - thanks for sharing!
