BeWitching Oversized Halloween Tag

Halloween Projects can be so fun to create, like this Bewitching Oversized Tag that I created using Boo-tiful Products from Reneabouquets.

Come Along With Me, as I walk you through the steps that I used to make this tag:

I created a base for the tag, by upcycling a thick, corrugated box. I cut the box into a tag that is 8 1/2 Inches Tall x 4 Inches Wide. I then inked the ridges and edges of the tag using Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink.

A rectangle was cut in the following size: 4 Inch Wide x 4 1/2 Inch Tall Piece of Blue Fern Studios Eclectic Charm Paper, and the edges were heavily distressed  and then lightly inked with Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink.

The Small Piece from the Beautiful Board Doily #2 Set was then inked with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Ink randomly by taking the pad and running it over the chipboard piece. A Printed Beautiful Board Winnie The Witch Size Tiny Chipboard Die Cut was added onto the doily using foam tape for added dimension.

The Corners are Beautiful Board Small Cobweb Corners Laser Cut Chipboard  that I first inked lightly with Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink and then overlaid with Ranger White Diamond Stickles. The smaller spiders that come with the Corners were then inked with the same Black Soot Ink, then painted with Ranger Black Diamond Stickles and accented with a Designer Glass Moonstone No Hole Bead for a WICKED look.

At the bottom of the tag, 3 layers of lace were attached for a variation in color, texture and dimension. The Laces Include:

I constantly go on walks in the woods, and found a gorgeous piece of moss a few weeks back and realized that it would be perfect for this project, so I popped it on, added some real black feathers and a bow that was made from sheer ribbon. To complete the look, a little rhinestone and enamel owl charm from the Woodland Animal Trinkets was attached to to the bow.

The top of the tag is adorned with a multi-layer bow made from hand dyed seam binding, a drop from the black tear drop lace, real black feathers and another little Owl.

I wanted to add more texture and color on the tag, so I randomly painted spots with Ranger Crackle paste, let that air dry to produce a SPOOKTACULAR, crackle texture, and then sprayed the crackled spots  with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stain, over inked it with Black Soot Distress Ink and then popped on some Designer Glass Fairy Opal No Hole Beads.

For the most EERIE-SISTABLE last touches, I took 2 Hand Crafted Tiny Treasures Savory Spice Butterflies topped them with the leftover Larger Spiders from the Cobweb Corner Set, painted and accented them to match the spiders in the webs and added them to the tag.

The tag was finished out with Blue Fern Paper on the Back that was distressed and edged with Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge Distress Ink for a finished, designer look.
