Huntress Of Steammonsters~Scraps Of Darkness March Kit

OK so I had to get my Steampunk on in honor of my sweet, scrappy, oh so Steampunkalicious Scraps Of Darkness sister, Michelle Phillips!! This month's kit was named after her and this layout is my take on her FAV Steampunk style!!

I used a photo titled Huntress of Steammonsters that features MADmoiselle Meli that was taken by Reiner Eisenbeis. Photo is used with  Meli's permission, and you can find her work here:
She is such an amazing talent, she is a  model, make up artist and costume designer showcasing all her talents in her photos and art work.

Lots of kit paper layering, distressing, inking, misting, and punching makes up the base layers of this layout. The photo matte was created from some used up sand paper, I had laying on my desk.

All the flowers were from this months floral add on, and kit as well as some from past kits. The twine say it in crystals, and metal pieces were all from the kit.

Here you can see a close up of all the layering that I did with the flowers, metal pieces, twine, butterflies and chipboard gears.

More layering details.

And a close up of the twine and metal eyelet lacing I did at the top and all the inking and spray stain work.

I love trying on different styles and stretching my imagination! It is so much fun to go outside your comfort zone and the Scraps Of Darkness Kits allows you try so many different styles with their technique based items that Melinda so amazingly puts together. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!! Hugs ~Renea
