Graphic 45 Enchanted Fairy Altered 3D Purse~

I always loved the Graphic 45 Springtime Paper Line, but up until now had not had a chance to use it, and so I decided to take the more Autumn tones from the line and create an Enchanted Fairy Altered 3D Purse with pockets for tucking treasures into!!
This project was so much fun to create, and I hope you enjoy my step by step walk through of it!!
You can find all the items that I used in the Reneabouquets.com and Reneabouquets Etsy, and I have a product list with links at the bottom of the post.

You can also join in on the Reneabouquets November Oh So FABulous Purse Swap hosted by Design Team Artist~Donna Anderson here:

I started with a Beautiful Board 3D Purse With Small Shelf Laser Cut Chipboard Kit, assembled it and then got to decorating!!
Before I assembled the kit, I used it to make a template on all of the Graphic 45 Springtime Deluxe Papers that I was planning on using, allowing me to easily use the pieces for templates and get a really, nice finished look.

I first edged the paper out with Rose Gold Microbeads &
Sand Chunky Glitter Glass.  I then added some #003 Crochet Lace across the bottom and topped it with one of the sticker pieces from the G45 collection. I then took a Beautiful Board Small Cherry Blossom Branch, and layered in lots of different colors with distress markers to get a realistic look, and topped it with a little owl from the Memory Keeper Trinkets  . I love the exclusive coating on the chipboard, it really grabs the colors and allows you to create small works of art!!
I fussy cut the little fairy and frog images from the papers, and then glitter painted accents on them and added some Soft Peach Mini Roses, and various tiny flowers from my stash.

Beautiful Board Tiny Victorian Scroll Pattern  pieces to the sides and handles of the Purse to give it a unique, ornate look. I just colored those with distress markers and added little pearls to the Large Accent piece.

I then took a Beautiful Board Small 4D Shell Compact that has a hinge that I designed so that the piece can actually open and close, and separate decorative layers that allow for easy layering of colors and decorations, and turned it into a little diorama to add to the shelf of the Purse.

I embossed the outside of the compact in a darker color, then embossed the decorative pieces with a lighter color, accenting the opening with the pearl with the darker color. I filled the insets of the shell with Rose Gold Microbeads and then fussy cut out a little fairy from the papers, added her and some tiny flowers and then cut out the "Fairy Tale" piece from the G45 Collection sticker and popped that on.

The back of the purse is finished out as well for a designer look with papers from the collection, stickers from the G45 collection along the bottom and the B Board frame and accents from the Beautiful Board Tiny Victorian Scroll Pattern  that I colored with distress markers, accented with pearls and more of the mini roses and tiny flowers.

In the pocket section of the purse, I decorated the Beautiful Board 4 Piece Shell Tag Set to create places to journal or pop on small photos, You can also tuck in small momentos into the pockets of the purse.

Tucked into the Purse Pockets is also a Beautiful Board Star Fairy Pocket Wand. I painted the whole wand with Prima White Crackle Texture Paste and then went over it with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink to bring out the crackle finish. I colored my fairy with distress markers and then added glitter paint to her wings. I added a hand dyed seam binding bow ( I just took some seam binding and sprayed it with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose & Tea Dye Distress Spray Stains, and added a little glass orb from the RB Fairy Trinkets  Set, and another soft peach mini rose.

I  covered the large tag with papers from the G45 Collection, then did some color and heat embossing work on the shell overlay that goes with the large tag and added it on.

Back side of the large tag.

I topped the 2 Medium tags from the set with papers added some of the #003 Crochet Lace to the bottoms and topped them with Oh So Butterlicious Glitter Glass Butterflies.

I just love how this piece turned out!! So magical and so perfect for gifting!! I love that it can be a wonderful decorative piece and a secret spot for tucking in treasures!! I hope you have enjoyed your stop by my blog!! Have a great weekend!! Hugs ~Renea

The Witch Is In ~

Whenever I get a chance, I love to join in on a swap or challenge. It is a great way to be a part of  the wonderful community that surrounds paper crafting, and a great way to make new artist friends. For September I actually did double duty and joined in on a fun Halloween Tag Swap hosted by Donna Anderson, and the Reneabouquets Fall Mood Board Challenge hosted by Tina Goodwin. The following is  a photo of the Mood Board:

And here is the tag that I created for my Swap Partner Laura Lindhorst using lots of goodies from Reneabouquets.

I started with layers of some older Halloween papers,  that I had in my stash,  pulling in the colors from the Mood Board. I distressed  the edges and inking them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink In Vintage Photo.

Next, I took a Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Medium Wicked Witch, and I colored her using Distress Markers and accenting her hat, shoes, ribbon, broom stick and wand with glitter paints.
I loved the lights in the Mood Board, so I used some little stars that are Beautiful Bits that I colored with distress inks and then added some Christmas Glitter Glass In Gold for lots of shine like the lights!! The ribbon is some hand dyed seam binding turned into a bow and then topped with one of the larger, glitter coated Star Bits.

At the bottom of the tag, I added a layer of  #001 Cotton Cluny Lace, that reminded me of the lace in the Mood Board photo,  and then layered some tinsel ribbon on top of that. The gate piece is a Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Small Gothic Gate that I cut down to fit the tag and then added color to with Distress Markers. I fussy cut the crow, pumpkin, spider and beware sign from some papers, added a feather and crystal to the bird, made a little cheesecloth web and added the spider topping him with some bling and then adding in the BEWARE sign.

For the backside of the tag, I added more of the lace and tinsel trim , and then took the leftover pieces of Gothic Gate, added those, fussy cut the little witch silhouette from some papers and finished out the back for a designer look.

Here is a side view, so that you can see the dimension!! When I designed Beautiful Board, I wanted to create pieces that were durable enough to put up with my crazy love of dimension. The witch is stacked on with 3 layers of foam tape, and the BBoard allows her to be stacked that way with no bending or warping like other chipboard products!!

Thank you for dropping by!! I hope you get to join in on a swap or challenge at some point in your crafting career. It really is a great experience and will help you to grow as an artist!! Hugs ~Renea

Reneabouquets Beautiful Ballerina Graphic 45 Book Box With Tag Album~

Creating timeless pieces that can hold treasures and little momentos is always so fun to do!!
I love to create book boxes, because they give you a perfect place for storing all those little memories and favorite things, and this one has an extra surprise inside, a sweet, matching tag album!!

Graphic 45 makes this Ivory Tag Album, and it makes it easy for those of us who don't have time to start from scratch to grab the base pieces and get to decorating.

I started with the Book Box, and distressed and inked (Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink) layers of papers from the Blue Fern Courtship Lane Paper Collection, and then ran some little trim that was gifted to me by one of my scrappy friends, Phyllis Fernandez, and added pearls every few inches to get a really feminine look.

Next, using Tim Holtz Bundled Sage  Distress Ink , I inked 2 of the main pieces from the Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard~Quilling Pattern, and added some more pearls to the ends. I then took a Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard~Large Beautiful Ballerina and pressed her into my Ranger Big Emboss It Ink Pad, coated her with a pearl embossing powder and heat set the powder. I then took a Ranger Emboss Ink Dabber and dabbed her tutu and headband with it, then dusted that with a dusty rose embossing powder and heat set that. I added little matching pearls to her headband and below her neck cut out to match the pearls on the other pieces.

I created a floral layer using roses and foliage from the following Mulberry Paper Flower Sets:
Teal & White Curly Roses Flower Set
and then popped on a set of  my handcrafted Shabby Pink Roses Dragonflies which come with the rose pattern and pearls that matched the look I was creating.

I then took some Prima White Crackle Texture Paste added it to the corners of the paper and sprinkled it with Chunky Glitter Glass In Pale Pink

For the "Spine" of the book, I added some Timeless Ivory Lace, and then took some more pieces of the Quilling Pattern to create an amazingly romantic look. That is what I love about the Quilling Pattern Chipboard Set, I actually designed it so that you can create endless patterns and accents using the 12 pieces that come in the set.

For the "Pages" I took Ranger Texture Paste applied it really thick with a Palette Knife and then took a wide toothed comb and pulled it through the paste to create "Pages" I then ran the mini Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad down the raised edges to accent them. Again, I took pieces of the Quilling Pattern Beautiful Board Set and added those for accents.

For the tag album, I just repeated some of the elements from the Book Box to get a matching designer look. One of the things that I wanted to change about chipboard when I was designing my Beautiful Board, was that I wanted to be able to create smaller pieces that had the same detail as the larger pieces without sacrificing durability. It took us actually engineering and manufacturing our own chipboard with a special coating to be able to do this, but the results are amazing!!
As you can see this Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard~Medium Beautiful Ballerina has the same details as the larger Ballerina, and she maintains her durability, I even have a small size in a lot of the BBoard pieces that is how durable this stuff is!!!!

On this tag page I created a little paper pocket and some tags to tuck in it, and decorated it with some  Petite Flower Lace and a Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard~Beautiful Bits Scroll Heart Piece.

This Tag Page features some more of the Petite Flower Lace, and the photo frame is topped with a
Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard~Large Hanger that I inked with the Tea Dye Ink.

Another Tag Page with a pocket and tags.

A sweet little photo spot, tag page with Pink & Ivory Mini Rose and tiny little heart key from the Key Trinkets Pack.

Back view of the Tag Album.

For the back of the Book Box, I stamped it with a script stamp using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and then I painted randomly with some of the Prima White Crackle Texture Paste, and let that dry, and then inked around the crackle with the Tim Holtz Bundled Sage  Distress Ink .

I added a bottom piece of a Latch Trinket and used that for the tie closure for the book box.

I so hope you enjoyed my Book Box & Tag Album Creation!! Fall is on its way here and things are finally cooling down enough to enjoy some outdoor time. I hope you find the time to do some of the things you love to do and hopefully to create something Beautiful for yourself!! Thank you so much for visiting me here on the blog!! Hugs ~Renea

Shabby Flowers Layout~

Today I have a Shabby Chic style Layout that I created using lots of  products from the Reneabouquets.com Store to share with you.

I started with a layer of  Blue Fern Courtship Lane Paper  and then cut down, distressed and rolled some pieces in the corner that I cut into strips, on  a second layer of paper.

Next,  I added some Rose Medallion Lace across my layout. I took some corrugated board, and painted it with a coat of  Prima White Crackle Texture Paste. I let that dry and then bent the board back and forth along the ridges, so get a really deep crackled, peeled look.

I then took some cheesecloth and added that to the corners of the board and sprinkled that with  Pale Pink Chunky Glitter Glass for a YUMMY look!

I added my photo, then grabbed a  Reneabouquets Beautiful Board~Shabby Flower Frame. I heat embossed the whole frame with the pinky, colored embossing powder,

then I embossed the leaves with a green embossing powder, and then took a dry brush and some  Dina Wakley White Gesso and just stippled that onto the frame.

I heat embossed, and layered a Reneabouquets Beautiful Board~Ivy Flourish onto the frame. That is one of the things that creating my own chipboard from 100% Virgin Pulp and then coating it on both sides with an Organic Coating does for my chipboard. It gives it strength and durability that allows you to really layer it in and get the dimension that so many of us artists crave!!!
I added a  Large Ivory Chiffon Flower, and flowers in from the following sets:
Dusty Blue Mini Roses Mulberry Flower Set
and then tucked in a large key from the Reneabouquets Key Trinkets, and a Rose Cabochon from the 6 Piece Glass Dome Cabochon Set, and then made a twine bow and added that in.

The Reneabouquets Pink Champagne Dragonflies are some of my handcrafted items, and even more dimension to  frame piece.

I created another flower layer at the side of my corrugated board to carry over the look of the flowers around my frame.

And to add in just a wee bit more texture, I took some Reneabouquets Beautiful Board~Shabby Heart Beautiful Bits, coated them with some sand paste, hit them with the gesso and then inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Distress Ink and added them in randomly to create the look of stenciling, only better, because the bits add ahhhhmazing depth!

Thank you for stopping by the blog to check out my Layout! I hope you week is off to a FABulous start!! Hugs ~Renea
