Rock Candy Flowers Tutorial

  Rock Candy Flowers

Supplies:
1 Small 2 1/4" Chipboard Flower
1 Large 3" Chipboard Flower
1 Light colored mist, ink or stain
1 Dark colored mist, ink or stain
Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy Crackle Medium or clear crackle medium of your choice
1 Flower Center
Hot Glue Gun
Heat Gun (Optional)

1. Mist, ink or paint both pieces of chipboard, covering completely. Let dry.

2. Apply Rock Candy or crackle medium. I apply mine pretty thick, in order to get that deep distressed look. Let dry.

3. Optional Step-Dry with a heat gun. I like to overheat mine for a distressed, bubbly look

4. Mist, ink or paint with the lighter color. Let dry.

5. Hot glue small flower to large flower, staggering petals. Add the flower center (I used a metal one). I included a pic of another version you can get using the Tattered Angels Glam Glitter Paints. It's hard to see in the photo, but they make it super shiny.

Have fun with it and be sure to send me some pics of the one's you create!
