Goodbye Summer Layout~

Summer is slowly waning to a close, and I couldn't let it get by me without doing one Summer themed layout. I created this layout using products from Reneabouquets. The only thing that is no longer available is the sold out Blue Ferns Wanderlust Papers.

I started with a base layer of papers and then tore the second layer to reveal parts of the paper underneath. I then did some distress punching and folding to get a really textured look to start adding embellishments to. I tucked pieces of a Beautiful Board Diamond Elements Laser Cut Chipboard randomly under some of the tears of the paper.

Next, I did a double stack of corrugated board and then glued matching paper to it to get the dimension I wanted. I added my photo to the stack and then topped it with a Beautiful Board Medium Laser Cut Chipboad Seashell Frame and I added some Beautiful Beads Bronzed Teal Iridescent Pearls to the frame as accents.

I exposed the ridged surface of some corrugated board, painted it with Ranger Opaque Crackle Texture Paste, let that air dry to let the crackle develop. Once the paste was dry, I then cracked it even deeper by bending the board. I really love this look and use it a lot!! I inked over the edges and cracks with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Ink to get an aged look. Next, came layers of  Mermaid Shard Glitter Glass and Pearl Shard Glitter Glass topped with Beautiful Beads Bronzed Teal Iridescent Pearls and

Beautiful Beads Hand Tinted Teal Glass

I ran cheesecloth across parts of the layout, and at the bottom corner of the frame added flowers from the following sets:
White Curly Roses & Leaves Mulberry Flower Set
and then added a real sea shell for visual interest.

I added some Beautiful Board Starfish Laser Cut Chipboard, painted some accents onto the starfish with ink. and then added more flowers and seashells.

Little random spots of matching flowers, cheesecloth, Beautiful Beads and Shells, add lots of texture and dimension along with the Handcrafted Tiny Treasures Into The Mystic Glitter Glass Butterflies.

Here you can see all the dimension and texture that I captured with the RB products!! I actually design, draw and manufacture my products and this gives me control over adding the things like intricacy and textures that artists crave!!

Thank you so much for coming by to say Goodbye to Summer with me!! I hope you find time to enjoy what is left of it!! Hugs ~Renea

Perfect Moment Layout~

I was in need of creating something soft and romantic, so I put together this so feminine, so romantic layout using products from Reneabouquets

The papers that I used are from the Blue Fern Studios Attic Charm Paper Collection, and I started with a base layer and then took a second sheet and distress, inked tore and curled the edges up and then script stamped the corners with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I marked where I wanted my frame to be and then took a mini inking tool and inked with Tim Holtz Bundled Sage Distress InkTim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink, and Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink with more emphasis on the greens. I then inked on down the page with more emphasis on the pink and

then used a damask stencil and Ranger Opaque Crackle Paste to get this really YUMMY cracked look.

I then added the Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Victorian Scroll Frame With 2 Accents to house my photo and create the pattern across the top part of the layout. I took a sea sponge and dabbed the 2 accents with the Tim Holtz Bundled Sage Distress Ink.
I added a piece of  Bridesmaid Lace  under the frame to bring out more texture and pattern.

I created a flower layer on each side of the frame, under the accents using the following flower sets:
Spring Green Roses & Leaves Flower Set
layered on top of cheesecloth
Inked some Beautiful Board Laser Cut chipboard Ivy Vine Tuck Ins, cut them apart and Tucked Them In!! I also tucked in one of my handcrafted Love Story Glitter Glass Butterflies.

I repeated the flower, cheesecloth and ivy pattern on the opposite side.

I created puddles of  Vintage Pearl Mica Flakes. I really wish you could see this in real life, it is such a gorgeous look! I dripped soft pink paint and then dripped gesso onto that, sprinkled the drips with
Diamond Chunky Glitter Glass. and then added Unicorn Candy Beautiful Beads Iridescent Pearls

To finish out the layout, I took a Beautiful Board Beautiful Words Sparkle, Fairy, Dust, Moment (I used Moment), sponge inked it and then accented it with little rose buds from the sets that I used earlier.

I love how easily my Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard can add such amazing visual interest to a project!! I draw my chipboard to be very intricate and to add depth and detail to your projects that you just can't get from any other product!! I hope you love it as much as I do!! Thank you for the visit!! Beautiful Dream Layout~

I love using darker, more grungier colors, mixed with feminine accents!! I guess I am just a girlie grunge artist at heart!! Today, I have a layout created with products from Reneabouquets that I incorporated that grungy darkness with romantic pieces to create a super, dreamy layout.

The papers are from the Blue Fern Studios Remnants Paper Collection, and I started with a bottom layer, and then took a second sheet of paper and tore, inked and distressed it and layered it onto the base layer.

Next, I added 2 pieces from the Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Doily Set #2. Beautiful Board comes in this gorgeous Vintage White Color and it was perfect as is for this project!! I have a lot of  artists ask me what glue I use to apply the intricate chipboard pieces with, so that you don't see the adhesive. I use Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue. It really does dry super fast and crystal clear.
I then took two more layers of distressed and inked paper and created the matte for my photo, that I distressed and sewed to make it really stand out.

I stenciled some bricks using Ranger Texture Paste, and then heated that up with my heat gun to get a really puffy, soft look. Next, came a layer of  White Wide Floral Lace that I cut in half, adding one half here and tucking the other half into the top under the distressing.
The flowers are from the following sets:
I heat embossed with a silver powder,  a Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Medium Victorian Scroll Border  that I cut in half and then tucked into my flowers.
I then heat embossed a Silver Baroque Metal Frame with the same Silver Powder and tucked that into my floral, and took a Dream Key In Silver and tucked that so that you just see the DREAM part sticking out.

I created a balanced look by going to the opposite corner and doing some of the stenciling and then layering in matching flowers and chipboard pieces.
The Dragonflies are my handcrafted Shabby Sugar Plum Roses Glitter Glass Dragonflies.

The latch is a Victorian Latch Trinket that I added some of the Silver Powder to and heat embossed it to set it. (If you do this process with metal, please be sure to let it cool, because it can get dangerously hot!)

Here you can see all the dimension and texture I created with the products from Reneabouquets!!
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to visit my blog!! I am most grateful! Hugs ~Renea

One Tough Layout~

Happy Monday to you all! Today, I have a Masculine Layout that I created with products from Reneabouquets. I love challenging myself to create these type of pieces without using flowers or butterflies, but by incorporating lots of color and texture work. Masculine work is harder, but it can be so much fun, to create a little differently than you usually do!!

I started with a layer of Blue Fern Chesterville Paper and then took a second layer, cut it down, distressed and inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink. I then took some
and did some misting to bring out the teals and rusts that I used to color enhance the photo that I wanted to use with.

I ran burlap down the edge of one side of the layout,

and then exposed the ridges on some corrugated board and inked that with the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink.

So many of my Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Pieces are designed with separate pieces to make color work sooooo much easier than when the chipboard is one solid piece, and gives you more control over the design. Like
this  Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Medium Luna Dream Catcher,  the moon pops out of the design, and I was able to emboss it with a YUMMY honey color,

and before popping it back in, I embossed the piece in a peacock teal color, then dabbed the piece with a Ranger Clear Emboss Ink Dabber heat embossed those dabs with a rust colored powder, and then randomly hit the piece again with the dabber, and heat embossed those dabs with a black powder.

The Flowers and the feathers are also separate pieces, so I was able to easily create pieces with different colors and add them on for lots of dimension. I tucked feathers under the flowers for even more texture and popped Beautiful Beads Bronzed Teal Iridescent Pearls into the holes that are created for those beads.

Next, I took Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Grid Elements, cut the piece into sections, heat embossed them with the Peacock Teal Powder and then added them randomly to my layout.
The beads that I used for dimension and texture are the

To finish off my layout I took a Printed Beautiful Board meets Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Beautiful Words~Tough added that. Tied on some hemp rope and then added another flower, real feather, chipboard feather piece to pull the dream catcher look together beautifully.

Here you can see all the dimension and texture that the Reneabouquets Products helped me to achieve.

I hope you have enjoyed a look at my more grungy masculine side to my art!! Thank you for stopping by!! Hugs ~Renea

Prima Santorini Loaded Envelope~

With the Summer heat around here in Tennessee, I had to take a break from it, come in and create!! I just love the colors in the Prima Santorini Paper Line, and paired with some of the products that I have designed, manufactured and creating from the Reneabouquets.com and Etsy shops, I think I managed to create a really wonderful piece to journal and memory keep those Summer time travels in!!

I started with a sewn pocket folder that I made from manila file folders. I distressed the edges of the papers and inked them with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink, and covered the front and backside with them.
I added a layer of Rose Crown Lace,

and then took tissue wrapping paper, balled it up to crinkle it, inked it and then tore strips to create my "sky". Next, I added thick puddles of  Diamond Shard Glitter Glass to create my "clouds".

I created the Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Hot Air Balloon With Beautiful Bead Holes to give projects amazing texture and dimension with the incorporation of the Beads. I first painted this piece with a stipple brush and gesso, then added little spots of color with markers and then popped the  Unicorn Candy Beautiful Beads into the holes and gussied the piece up!

I added flowers and leaves from the following sets:
Dusty Blue Mini Roses
and then popped on some of my teenie, tiny, double side printed
Aurora Borealis Pink Butterfly Kisses. I love these new little kisses, they allow you to add lots of  unique, little butterflies to your project without adding a lot of cost!!

To add a little romantic touch to my piece, I took a
Small Beautiful Board Romantic Heart Topper and added a matching rose from the set.

Another product that I designed and manufactured to add to all those pocket pieces and mini albums that I love to create are Beautiful Board Laser Cut Chipboard Pocket Wands.
This one is a Butterfly Pocket Wand that I added some Diamond Chunky Glitter Glass, topped with a  Aurora Borealis Pink Butterfly, added some hand dyed seam binding and a little ocean blue glass orb from a Mermaid Trinkets Pack.

Here you can see all the pieces that are tucked into the pockets of the piece. So perfect for journaling, adding small photos to and tucking little momentos into!!
Includes:
2-Double Sided Over Sized Tags accented with Beautiful Bows Lace and silver and pearl buttons
6- Double Sided pieces (2 that are decorated with Decorative Beautiful Bits) (1 that is decorated with hand dyed seam binding topped with a mini rose)
1-Crown Metal Clip with Glass Dome Cabochon  that holds 2-double sided Santorini tickets in place. One ticket is decorated with a Seashell Beautiful Bit and the other with another Butterfly Kiss.

Thank you for stopping by my blog for a visit! I hope you are having a beautiful Summer, and that you get to create something "Beautiful With An Edge" for yourself! Hugs ~Renea
